Announcement and Call for Papers – all2gethernow Camp

a2n

3. - 5. November, Kater Holzig, Berlin

From 3 to 5 November 2011 all2gethernow moves into the buzzing BerMuDa electronic music club festival daytime headquarter at Kater Holzig/Berlin, the famous Bar 25 successor club on the Spree, to organize this year's main event, the all2gethernow Camp. The programme will highlight current economic, cultural, social, political, technical, and artistic perspectives on music, both from a strategic and a practical point of view. In cooperation with Unconvention, on 3 November the Unconvention Factory will turn the Kater Holzig gallery into a studio to publicly produce an album in one day, from recording to cover design to making the digital download available.

The de:bug Technology Days will co-inhabit the BerMuDa day headquarter with us, offering practical workshops on music technology.

You can participate!

Until 6 October, we are inviting suggestions to our #a2n_camp programme. Which music culture and music business related topic have you always wanted to discuss? Which topic are you missing in current debates, at conferences or in the media? Is there a speaker whom you always wanted to hear on a particular topic?

You can organize your own session within the #a2n_camp. We are particularly interested in suggestions that discuss a current and contemporary issue of music culture and music business, that discuss an open question, that have not been discussed much elsewhere, and that bring in new and inspiring perspectives. The formats can be presentations or discussions, and we are also open to experiments with different methodological approaches. The standard time slot is 1 hour, but depending on the session, this is also flexible.

Send your suggestion, including a brief (1-2 paragraphs) description of your thematic idea and format, including names and links of the speaker(s) to camp@all2gethernow.de, until 6 October 2011.

#a2n_camp as all2gethernow's main event in the year

all2gethernow Camp is the main event in the year for all2gethernow, event platform, think tank and association for new strategies in music business and music culture. Here, we bring together themes and people that we have encountered, that have come to our minds, and that we have connected with over the year. A focus on music culture, DIY or rather do-it-together strategies, interfaces between music and digital economy and culture, as well as electronic music and club culture are this year's broad programme guidelines.
